ShortShip (non pro) version has NO affiliate ads, and NO tracking/advertising/anything of any nature.
ShortShip Pro utilizes eBay's affiliate program. Once per week, you will need to do a search via the top search bar to activate an affiliate search (which will deposit a cookie into your browser). It is the same process as clicking on an advertising banner at any reputable webpage (sourceforge uses the same advertising company, google ads use a similiar system, and advertising used on slashdot, MSN, digg, and just about 90% of webpages on the internet).
You can view the affiliate's privacy policy here. 30% of proceeds from this extension will be donated to Mozilla, as thanks for their great software, and making this extension possible. For verification that we are actually donating to Mozilla, we will post proof of payments made as they are done.
